Hexbinder — A Mobile-Friendly Hex Crawl Sandbox Generator

I built Hexbinder because I wanted to run a hex crawl from my iPad — something local-first, mobile-friendly, and designed for fun improvisation at the table.

Pick your world size, set some basic parameters, and you get a fully seeded hex sandbox for Cairn and Shadowdark RPG — cities with adventure hooks, procedurally generated dungeons, the works. Players go off-script? Tap a hex and you're covered.

Everything saves to your device. No account, no server after the initial load.

This was also an experiment in building something reasonably complex using Claude Code and LLMs as development tools. Still a proof of concept — I've done a good amount of tinkering but haven't battle-tested it at the table yet. Plans for UI polish and more features down the road.

It's open source if you want to poke around or contribute:
